Godsell resigns, Maroga back as CEO

Does anyone in that company have the slightest clue what is going on?

If this is how they run the energy needs of the country they way they run their admin it is no wonder we are up the creek.

+1. The whole country is informed that he resigned, the next thing we know he's back in his office as if nothing's happened. What a laugh... It's like a children's playground... BANANA REPUBLIC - FACT.

To be fair, only ESKOM staff were informed of the resignation NOT the whole country... the rest of the country were informed by the media (who were going on hearsay because Godsell cancelled the media briefing where it was believed he'd announce it).

Sox, what I find amazing is that the BMF cried racism when it is obvious any next CEO would have been black due to AA requirements. Plus ESKOM's previous CEO (of 10 years I think) was also black. A pity really as Godsell was a very strong & knowledgeable chairman. Now they will install a puppet in his place to toe the insecure Maroga line.

The racism card was not played for the resignation, however Maroga pulled it out to somehow explain his handling of that report that was leaked about coal levels at power stations.
 
If Etzinger doesn't know what's going on, the situation must be pretty bad. I do think that the media had a role to play in the confusion though. It's a lesson on communications and PR 101 for Eskom.

Please can Eskom now make it viable for private industry to produce power if they aren't and get out of the way if they can't.
 
Dark days ahead. I see the "Black Management Forum" is pleased about the resignation of Godsell. Is there a "White Management Forum? or will that be racist?
 
Hehehe, Malema called it on Friday on radio 702 insisting that Maroga had not resigned and that it's Godsell who should go.

Well that explains it. Anything that idiot says happens, because of the overwhealming support he has. Imagine an ant colony of 10 million ants, and the queen ant instructs them all to walk into a pool of lava. Obviously the MINDLESS followers will do it without thinking twice, because their STUPID queen suggested it... and we'll all pay for them to protect His Royal Retardedness until they die for their own stupidity.
 
Sorry eishkom, the fact that you cant even tell us who's steering the ship speaks volumes. Time to cut that cash cow and privatise.
