Gog Galaxy 2.0

Saw this but don't quite understand. They claim that all platforms are now accessible from one place. Surely you can't play your Steam games through galaxy?

The idea behind it is very similar to what Xfire and Raptr did in the day. Which worked reasonably well for keeping track of play time across various platforms, so I'm keen to see how this works out as well. Will definitely give the beta a spin once it's available.

They claim you will be able to play your steam games, ect through this new version. We will have to see whether it works.

I think they are gonna do what Discord and Geforce experience does, just launch the game through its original launcher instead of just via GOG

eg: I press play on a game on Geforce experience Steam launches first and then the game

I doubt that as the Steam launcher is a DRM mechanism. You may probably add executables as you can do with most game launchers.

Do I still need to have other gaming clients installed on my PC?
Yes, if you want to get access to any features specific to that platform, e.g. installing or auto-updating games, cloud saves, etc.

Specific feature, like in launching the actual game.

Finally got my invite today, but dead tired from coding :X3:

Apparently, I have 870 games
I have over 500, lol. Also realised today that if I didn't buy 350 of those I would actually be able to afford the hardware to play most of them. That should give me a motivation to stop buying games now.

I signed up for the beta when it started but haven't received an invite yet. Feels bad man...

for those that are in the beta how does the PS4/xbox linking work?
i know you can't launch the games but dam it would be awesome to showcase my steam and PS4 library together

I blame the first few steam sales :o
