Google Goggles—the fun-to-say visual search app—now includes a point-and-click translation tool that'll take a lot of the guesswork out of your next overseas vacation. It's like having a little multilinguist living in your phone.

Currently Android-exclusive then will be developed for i-Phone i think, then hopefully other systems.
Seems like quite an awesome feature to add to googles enormous set of apps that just make our lives easier. :D:D:D

Cool! I have seen this app but unfortunately it only runs on Android above 1.5. My HTC Hero runs on Android 1.5 so I couldn't use it. I heard an upgrade was supposed to be available for HTC Hero on 22 April that upgrades from 1.5 to 1.6 or 2.0 or something.....better check that out in under the Cellular forum.

I have Wikitude on my phone, which is almost like Goggles....it uses augmented reality and the phone's internal compass and GPS so you can locate points of interest using the LCD viewfinder. Apparently Goggles just adds to this by actually identifying objects....cool
