So I have to travel to Latvia around July, anyone have experience traveling to that region? and which travel agents(cape town) are best suited for Eastern Europe?

Advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Is this to sort out the documentation of your mail order bride aqua ? ;)

[edit ... but then shouldn't she know her way around her own country? ]

Why do you need travel agents? book the tickets online and go! Are you going alone? It's a smallish country, younger people speak some English and German. Weather should be moderate that time of the year.

Visa is an issue I think, I can't just "get on a plane and go" it seems... unless I'm wrong?

Call this guy to find out, it might be simpler than you think.

As far as I know they joined the Schengen zone in 2007 so you probably just need a Schengen visa.

Edit:
This looks helpful.

Ok so I can apply for a Schengen visa through the Hungarian embassy, they have emailed me the docs soon after emailing them, thanks for the help all.

Just remember your plasters, bandages and butt plugs when you leave :D

So one of the requirements for the schengen visa is travel insurance, I had a look around and it's about R2K :(... can anyone recommend me decent travel insurance?
I had a look at http://www.travelinsure.co.za/ but not sure if they're reliable.
