Hi there guys...pls give me your thoughts.. Need to buy a new set of front brake pads for my Ford figo 2018 model .. Dealer quoted me R1500 and I then asked for the part no which they gave.. I phoned goldwagen with part no and their price was R865.. Is goldwagen any good? Am I gonna be sacrifing quality.. My present pads have lasted me 5 years.what's the difference between the two pads?

Goldwagen are generally fine. Check the brand they're quoting and do a Google to see if there are any quality concerns, but they generally supply adequate parts in my experience.

if you concerned then ask whats the price of the next more expensive one..they usually have alternatives...

unless you can find out what brand the dealership is selling....then try to get that...

It'll be the exact same pads, probably made in Germiston.

Remember to add to your budget some cash for skimming or new discs. Skimming is ok, for 1 round, probably. Don't skim the same discs twice.

Got discs for wife's b220 from them few years back, no issues and significantly cheaper.
They are my first stop for parts.

Don't know where you're located but also try Masterparts if in your area. They do Metelli which is an Italian brand and I have been very happy with the performance over the years. I recently also tried their Stone brand in my other vehicle as they didn't have Metelli in stock and so far have also been quite happy with the performance.
I used to only fit Ferodos previously but since moving to Metelli, I haven't looked back. Also the Metellis do not create as much dust as the Ferodos.

Nothing wrong with Goldwagen, I have used a lot of their parts on all my cars over the years, with the exception of my Golf R as it had a maintenance plan.
