No it’s not, when you’re writing high performance code the last thing is you want some abortion mark and sweep gc having a hernia and eating precious cycles.

No, again. We are talking efficient applications.

Used Skype lately ? Have you not seen how much of a dog **** slow, cluster **** it is. Because some knob decided it would be a good idea to build it upon that god forsaken node bs. It used to be blazing before Microsoft bought it. Pure glorious c/c++, now it’s more electron bs.

C is the oldest and still ranks pretty high in terms of # of users. It's also my favourite language.
