Sneijder.

Look, even if he doesn't win the World Cup (crossed fingers) he has still been the best player in the last 12 months by a country mile. He is one of the main reasons Inter won the treble. He is the top scorer for the Netherlands at this World Cup. He is, he is, he is... the Golden Ball winner.
 
Have to agree wth it going to Sneijder. He's the driving force behind Netherlands and to be the leading goal scorer as a mdfielder is quite the accomplishment.
 
I don't watch soccer all that much and this post will probably prove it.

But why is Klose not on that list. The games I watched he was pretty good.
 
Golden Ball only applies to the World Cup,

Golden Ball: Sneijder
Silver Ball: Diego Forlan
Bronze Ball: Between Klose or Villa - Villa is currently leading IMO.

Because he had an extremely poor season for bayern.

I am biased but for me Wes. His performances in serie a,coppa italia, cl and wc have been extremely consistent and he has stepped up in the really big games.

Most likely to win it is Sneijder or Villa if spain win.
 
Would love it if Sneijder wins it. Could be a perfect year for him...
 
Wesshhley has been great all season, and Robben must surely be the most difficult wide-player to defend against (apart from Messi and CRonaldo at club level). Not sure I've witnessed a classier midfield ever than Spain's. Iniesta is a genius.
 
My pick would be between Villa and Sneijder. Depends who wins tomorrow.

For World Player of the year, my shortlist would be Sneijder, Messi and Xavi.

Messi should win it hands down, he had another unstoppable season.
 
Forlan, but Özil has had a brilliant WC too.

I say it's between those two. Sneijder..... maybe but I think Özil had a better WC tbh.
