Hey guys, any idea when/if this is coming to SA? If so, does anyone know the indicative price? Thanks.
 
word on the street is that it will be coming

but why do you want to be spend a premium on out dated tech??
iirc that the old tfsi motor in there, ie cam follower problems etc

Would be a nice addition to the range, would I be right saying you own a golf 6 gti?

Sooo... Is that the power of a stage one conversion on a std G6?

Seems like quite a markup... Is this the old S3 engine, or the EA888 chain driven one?

Old S3, basically an under specced golf R, apparently the normal Gti 6 is still better.

stage 1 gti = 159.5kw and 363nm at the wheels
 
Golf6 Gti is a brilliant little car. Just a pity that there so many of em. My 2 bob's worth.
 
Very difficult to compare on different days, and different dynos.

After a few mods, I took my car to Snails and got 149wkw, and a friend took his to Kars and got 163wkw - a 10% difference in power. Two weeks later we both head to Snails and my figure was roughly the same as previously at 151wkw and his dropped to 153wkw - only a 1.5% difference

Not that it's always possible, but I think the best way to compare is the same dyno, same day.
