what colour and what year ?
79000km , i doubt it has any warranty or motor plan , check if it was accident damaged ?

ya i know, its a red one, it does not look like it has been a in a smash but you never know, i hit a buck with my current golf, and after some new panels you cant tell the diff.

I would much rather consider something like this one: http://search.autotrader.co.za/www/...=5&SUBMIT.x=67&SUBMIT.y=17&id=200845185341443 (52000 kms, bal of motor plan)

You will likely get at least 2 services for free (which really can be costly) - and it's done 20 000 kms less than the one the bookkeeper is flogging privatley.

Plus, if you're generally not happy at a dealership, you can often give the car back within a few days (generally seven) (if negotiated when buying the car)

Trust me, someone in the business can tell the difference, unless they did an unnaturally brilliant job :)

and thats rather expensive i would say, alot better deals to be had. And remember buying a second hand "performance" car withoug a plan... isn't always the brightest idea.

thanks, i knew something was up. the dealer did not want to let me out of is yard, kept making deals, will look at auto trader

Be careful. In 2004 I took a 132Kw GTI for a spin and it kept swinging to the right because it had been involved in accident. The dealer was very embarrassed:D
