Golf Novice

I just received a set of 2nd hand golf clubs as a gift and I am totally stoked about it. Here is the problem. I have NEVER PLAYED GOLF IN MY LIFE except for Tiger Woods golf on PC and PS1 & PS2. So where does a total novice go to find his feet in Cape Town. Remember it must be reasonably priced (CHEAP DIRT CHEAP)

Find your nearest golf club, book some time with the course pro, spend as often as possible at the driving range, prepare the divorce papers. Enjoy...

Hey man. I am in the same boat, I just got a mate who is quite good to show me the proper way to do a few things like how to hold the club etc then went off to the nearest big open field / driving range and started hitting a few balls. Bought 50 refurb namebrand golf balls at mr price sports for R150.
