It is good to see a Citi die, but this can happen to any car. 90% of the time its criminals that set the cars on fire and the other 10% its mechanical failure.
Not so long ago Vauxhall had to recall some Corsa C's in the UK cause they also caught fire due to a manufacturing failure.

But back on the VAG hating, at least it self destruct before it was able to cleft in twain during an accident :D

Opel supporters are in glass houses throwing rocks if they think their quality is any better.

I am an Opel fan and I did point out that Vauxhall actually had to recall some Corsa C's because they burst into flames due to factory error. I think this Citi was an isolated incident if it even was the cars fault (I doubt) and not something else (most likely).

But that does not mean Opels are of lower quality - in fact - Opel is miles ahead of VW in most regards.

Roux, are you totally incapable of merely commenting on the topic at hand instead of turning every thread here into a VW vs Opel slinging match? Because you're turning into a total pain in the butt. So a VW burnt. So what? Why does that have to be a victory for you? Are you that desperate that you'll claim that as a proof that you're right?

You mean this?

Actually that wasn't meant to come across as a rant, I'm genuinely curious to know why you cannot let a mention of any VW go by with having to insult it. And I'm deadly serious when I say that it's a pain in the butt.

Check the JDM results, Opel and VW have almost the same number of faults per100 cars
