What is a good affordable Keyboard & Mouse to get? Preferably wireless.

I had the EX110. Broke just out of warranty (mouse).

Usability was OK, but the range was really kark. Used it with my HTPC, mouse struggled from the couch ~3.5m from receiver  Keyboard was a bit better.

Cost me R300. Now going for ~R450??

Just got an iSonic Airmaster or something deal from cafe java for R200 flat :D

Range is much, MUCH better, and the receiver is nice and small for the front of the HTPC- check it out :)

Will have a look but generally I think it's probably better to stick with Microsoft/Logitech? I have the Microsoft wireless optical desktop 1000 but I want a new one.

Anything wrong with the old one?

For the price difference, and the 5yr warranty, I'd take logitech over M$. Would take anything over them, really...

Yeah you can't really go wrong with Logitech really, you pick the price range and generally you get what you pay for.

I'd pass on a software company making hardware aswell ;) 'Tis for the fanbois.
