Good Bye MWEB and Good Riddance

I just moved from Mweb (throttled after 63GB) to Afrihost (immediately shaped to 7KB/s 24x7) to Openweb.

There have been some hiccups with Openweb, but I've found their support to be fast and capable.

I like Openweb.

Too many peeps going to Afrihost. Looks like internet may suck for a bit for us AH peeps.

Hope AH have made provision for this.

It is most likely that their MTN capacity is highly scalable and that they can easily apply “space” where needed to new subscribers and changing subscriptions.

Players on Seacom… they have a share to battle out…

Anyway the logistics behind broadband capacity is a huge topic and too many variables at play.

Must be honest, had a great experience with MWEB 1Mbps uncapped account, never had downtime, no throttling or shaping, gaming online runs perfect without lag on two pc's at once. I have however decided to go to 4Mbps for downloading purposes and decided to trial Openweb, so far it has been great. Unfortunately I have read to many forums where people are complaining about MWEB uncapped 2Mbps and up (throttling). Cancelled my account with MWEB yesterday.
