Good enough for a 16 year old?

My nephew is planning on buying a phone, I looked around today online and came across this one. He'll mainly use it for calls, social networking and light gaming. What do you guys think?

Budget? I would have liked more RAM but at that price range you wont find much better...

Rather go with a Samsung J1 or J5.

He had a J1 but didn't like it because he claimed it lagged a lot.

They only sell 2 gb ram versions in South Africa.
But For anything under R2k Xiaomi is the best.
