Good ISP ?

hi guys

Ok I've been reading the Hellkom website a have found in the isp directory That Mdial internet solutions and Inx don't cap locally :D is this true and if it is true are they decent isps :confused: ??

I'd go with Telkom, yup. They don't cap you as soon as you go over your limit which is good as I normally go over about 300 or 400 mb.
 
You should get about 9gb on a Telkom account. Y did u ask about local access then cos Openweb is king with local access. :)
 
For International or local I suggest (unfortunately) Telkom.

I have used numerous ISP's and the one with least problems, to me that is, has been Telkom.

I don't like them but, in my own experience with about 7 different ISP's, they are still the more reliable ones.

You all can crucify me but, like I mentioned before, in my eyes, I have to go with value for money.

Till there is competition in the telecommunications sector I will stay with the beast.

The nick HellTel originated from the fusion (that I wished would happen sooner then later but, at Hellkom's terms) between Hellkom and Telkom.

I can only tell the truth when asked about ISP's and my experiences and I will have to keep the beast by my side for now, I use Skype a lot and for the past 6 months I have had no major problems with the connection, unlike when I tried most of the other ISP's.
 
Ill agree and say having a Telkom account is a good idea, they never seem to have ISP issues. I only use Telkom for International, always get the most out of my line.
 
In other words I would like Hellkom and Telkom to be friends.

It would be beneficial to both and to all of us.

I wish that Telkom would show their appreciation to what Hellkom is trying to do to for the South African Nation.

Telkom could base themselves in the feedback we all give on this forum and use it to their own advantage.

Another thing that I have to mention here on this thread is the fact that I also have prepaid from WebAfrica and have had no problems as well. :)

WebAfrica has also delivered when I needed them .. well done WA

I agree entirely with you.

I have criticized Telkom on that field as well but I am not going to cut my nose to spite my face.

And what do you mean its all about character.

I gave a chance to the other ISP's and they could not match the standard I get from Telkom.

So I will support the company that gives me value for money and right now Telkom (due to the unfair business practice) offers the best service and the best price.

When I joined this forum was and is to voice my opinion on ADSL and I am doing so whether is an opinion to criticize or to praise whomever it is I will do so to the best of my ability.

Like it or not Telkom right now offers the best ADSL solution.

lol its me again ... why must I spend R400 to R500 a month on 9gigs if I can get it for R199?

Its not all about character, its all about money.

I still can't understand why there is still unfair business practice from Telkom and the ISP's are not getting together to nail Telkom.

Someone is benefiting from all this, why can't I take advantage and use it to my benefit?

I am behind you but, I am by no means stupid.

Have not been capped once on 3 gig ... I go well over it ... thats what I call value for money.

I don't even have 3 gig I have 2 gig account ... :p
