Hi guys

I had a bad knee injury about a year ago and the orthopedic surgeon did a repair via scope in November last year.

Its never really got back to 95% better and wanna know if there are any top knee specialists to be recommended. In the sandton/randburg area

There is a centre for Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics in rosebank, there is also the Waterfall Sports Orthopaedic Surgery and sports medicine centre at Waterfall Netcare.

I would probably go for these. Hope you have good medical aid cover, most of these guys do not go only by medical aid rates and you will have to cover the difference out of your pocket.
 
Dr Dirk van Zyl at Wilgeheuwel hospital, he worked on my wife's feet this year and the job he did was amazing. Give him a try and he's covered by medical aid. There is also Dr Snyman there, he's not so good.

Yeah Snyman is a real hack, went to him when i got injured, he said go to a physio!!!!! Stay far away from this guy.

I will try van zyl perhaps, thank you.

I personally haven't had any experience with either of these two, but apparently they are THE knee guys...

Yeah he is, he stuffed up my wifes ankle and the stitching was atrocious, van Zyl the stitching was so good you could barely tell he'd worked there.

Definitely one of the best in country.

Otherwise check out Mark Human at Olivedale, I knew him on a personal capacity and he was a complete tool, but as a surgeon he is pretty damn good. Have had numerous friends go to him for ACL surgery with great results
 
Any suggestion for cape town. Had two surgeries already, cant even run now and I am not even 30.
