I am looking for a new LCD screen. Samsung seems to have lead in this area. There are so many samsungs too. I am not sure what to go for. the P series or T260 or syncmasters? Also should i look at philips or sony. I am looking at around 23-25 inch range.

also it must at least have 1920 x 1080 HD resolution, good contrast ratio, good brightness and refreshrate. i will be using it for games and watching HD tv.

what do you guys recommend? I have read a lot of reviews of various ones, but i keep finding contradictions.

I have the Samsung P2450 and personally think it is an awesome screen (was cheaper than the T240 with better specs as well), but i haven't had experience with many other models though. If you are going to a dual screen setup, then I would suggest not getting anything bigger than 24", because even with a 24" + 19" I have too move my head around too much.

I just bought a Samsung T240 today and I'm in digital heaven. It's an awesome screen, and justifies the "love" smiley!

BENQ 24"

Just picked up a BENQ 24" from esquire for 1299 excl VAT. Its a great buy and a very nice product. I am still comparing to my samsung 2494 24", but so far, apart from packaging, they behave the same. BENQ also has 3 yr warranty

benq? really? that is way cheap. I will look at the t240 also.

Do you guys play games on those screens/? is the refresh rate good?

No issues with the 2494HS Sammy for me.

Great screen play games and watch .mkv files with no hassles at all.

HD at the fullest and loving it!

Also if you need HDMI - go with the 2494HS, though a T260 is drool-land.

OT- Has Henry ever posted pics of his twin T260 setup?

what about the Samsung Syncmaster P2370 23''. the new P range. how is different to the T one and the 2494hs?

I go to the samsung website, but i cant find the supported refresh rates at each resolution. also they must support HDMI.

I play games on the T240 and so far it works great. The colour is very good, there's no ghosting or anything nasty I can see while playing games, and it's still small enough to be able to put on the car's backseat if I want to go LAN somewhere.

The T240 supports DVI, HDMI and analog input.

I'm extremely happy with my 24'' Philips 244E widescreen display. It's plugged into my PS3 and blu-ray movies + all PS3 high dev games look fantastic on it.

Love the 3 year warranty as well. Samsung = one year.
