Hi all. Looking for a decent mincer. Table clamp type like Grannie had. Lots of eastern makes out there with chrome coating peeling off !
Any ideas ?

We were looking recently and because it was only the cheap Chinese schiyte that you mention, we bought an old one from an antique/second hand type shop.

We moved 3 years ago and gave car loads to Hospice. Including our mincer that we believe could be 60 or 80 years old..... off to the local pawn shops I suppose.......

My mother just have me her Spong - similar to the silver one in the photo.

But I've never used it, surely a modern food processor does as good a job?

We have the kenwood attachment for our mixer. Works well for meat (rarely use) and for mincing veggies for soup (use more often in winter).

+1 Nothing beats the Kenwood (for domestic use).

KitchenAid on a new quality level is awesome.. its not a dedicated mincer, but works really well.

expensive though, but looks nice,as well as functionality.

u can get an attachment pack for the mixer, which includes the mincer and you can also purchase a sausage stuffer attachment separately

+1 have a kenwood too. Works great cast iron not coated (that I can tell). Has a sausage attachment too for making own wors which is fun.
