Good price for glasses frames?

The prices here for frames are completely ridiculous. I bought my latest frames from an online store after finding the ones I wanted in a shop here so I could try them on.

Here is the store: http://www.eyewearbrands.com/

They are UK based and even do the lenses for you at much cheaper than in SA.

I have Police frames was R2k...not quite a high roller like you though Mr Tag Heuer

I see most Tag Heuer frames in the shops are R3,300+ ... anyone know a brick n mortar place to get decent prices frames?

http://www.smartbuyglasses.co.za/search/result/?keyword=tag#directTitle has a number under R3,000.00 - but I'm not sure about online frames? Anyone know them?

I paid R1100 for my Levis frame (half-rim). Nonetheless I wear contacts now so yeah.
My dad has a Titanium Mercedes frame that set him back R7k.
It's all down to how fancy it is and what it's made from.

My step dad's best friend sells frames for glasses. I don't know if he only sells to optometrists but I can find out for you if you'd like (just PM me to let me know). Where are you from?

Used Oakley frames for the past 14 years, never regretted them. I think the ones I have now were 3.5k. I have dropped them, stood on them kicked them etc..still going strong

@ Dolby - or anyone actually

I am off to a charity shop in the next couple of days, amongst the stuff I am sending are 2 pairs of glasses.
One of which are Tag Heuer frames.
These I found some time back, but despite advertising & speaking to local optometrists that stock Tag, they remain unclaimed.

So they are off to the charity shop with other stuff from my house.
They will be on the shelf for sale at abound R500 - they retail at around R3500 - R4000. They are very very new, just 1 tiny scratch on the one lens from being dropped (i assume) and a small scuff mark on the right arm / temple.

These are the frames:

There are the actual glasses:

If anyone is interested in them, PM me & I'll send the charity shop details
