Hi…

Is it possible to get a good quality 10,000mAh power bank in SA? Preferably lithium polymer to lithium-ion… Need this for a long distance trekking trip. So far I haven't found anything suitable.

I leave for my travels on 1 April, so it would need to be something local :/

10Ah is an awful lot and will be quite heavy. If where you are going is sort of sunny rather look into one of those backpacks that have a 4Ah battery but a small solar panel on the back. Or you can DIY your own solar charging kit with a battery size of your chosing (you'll need basic circuitry and soldering knowledge)

Thanks for your suggestions… I'll be in Nepal so can't bank on the weather. I used a solar charger on the Camino last year and it can be very frustrating. If you try to use it to charge your device and it isn't 100% full, it draws power from your device :/ but then it wasn't the newest technology.

Yep, it would be for tablets, mobile phones etc.

From my research on Quora, they are pretty common in the Far East and aren't too heavy, but then we may not have the most advanced selection here.

That FNB deal looks awesome, pity they are sold out. Romoss looks like the next best thing.
