Hey all
So I have been in a rut for a while at work without much prospect for advancement. I am working in the IT field for an investment bank but come from an engineering background. I think the final straw was that my manager promised earlier this year that I could sign up for a year long work sponsored part time course on financial products next year and then conveniently forgot to sign me up before the deadline despite a large number of my work colleagues getting in. Either he is lying and wants me stuck where I am or he truly forgot which just means he does not give a crap about my advancement and I am a low priority to him. Either way it made me realize that its time to see if there is something better out there.
My end goal is to move from being a pure techy to using more of my business and management skills and studies. Can anyone recommend good recruitment agencies that deal with technical jobs (engineers in particular) but also place managers. There seem to be hundreds of recruitment agencies out there but I am not sure which one's already have a line in with the banks/financial institutions/telecoms/big tech companies. Figured people here would probably have heard of a few.
