I know this is an old-ish thread and possibly slightly off topic, but this has to at least be mentioned.
It might not be a popular web browser, but when last did you try Opera browser? Having a free VPN is a nice bonus and it works.
We did a simple comparison a few years back to check which browser used the least amount of memory. Test was between Firefox, Chrome and Opera. Really simple test, but that was basically the only objective. Opera used the least memory having one page (same page on all) open and one new tab. The test was on a older slower laptop, so we were looking for a browser that was easier on the limited resources.

Opera might be a solution to some, we've been using it for a few years and happy with it. Although we use a few others as well for testing.

Ok, the idea was not really to convince you personally to change your browser. Sorry if you got that impression. I can tell you that you're probably using more Chinese equipment than you realise in your daily communication, but that makes no difference. You, like most others on earth have a right to choose.

I closed Opera at work today, 78 tabs... only 58 on laptop and 37 on PC, 10 on phone. Also use Chrome, and Vivaldi. Opera with built in ad blocker FTW - no video ads on youtube!

Oh and I found that if I close Edge by right clicking at the taskbar, I can continue to use IE. IE compatibility mode on Edge for the enabled site switches back to Edge mode after 30 day... and I use IE every day to output crystal reports generated document.

Using Windows 7 the VPN software does not connect to the company I am pulling the reports from, so Win10/IE is the combo needed. Opera has unique features I prefer for some cases, and so does Vivaldi and Chrome. Edge also has its own.
