I hate Chrome, but now I hate Firefox even more - It's been crashing my computer consistently, and I cannot for the life of me figure out why.

So, I've been using Chrome, and as much as I detest it I must admit it's a hell of a lot faster than FF ever was.
 
Speak for yourself; Firefox works brilliantly for me. I tried Chrome but ended up back with Firefox.
 
For some reason recently some pdf files have been crashing my Firefox
 
The new Chrome on iOS7 + the keyboard is PISSING ME OFF TO NO ****ING END!! AAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH!!

I would love to give Firefox another go again but i hate the fact that it has separate proxy settings than the test of the machine (can't remember if there is an option to use the machine default). My work laptop travels a lot between networks so it is a bit of an issue :/
 
I'm actually switching the other way, I've recently found Chrome to be really sloooowww and the new FF is flying
 
Also moved away from FF and started using chrome. FF would consistently tell me my plugs in we're out of date. I would update date them and it would still tell me that it was out of date. Faking irritated the ***** out of me so moved over to chrome.

Not had a problem since

It does have a system proxy setting and I use the proxy selector add in which makes it simple to switch proxies.
Firefox has been a bit buggy for me though but I still use it.
 
Iam sure firefox was working fine at some stage. That implies your user registry for firefox may be messed up or registry in general is messed. Sooner or later you are bound to have some problem with any browser. For now the easiest solution,use another browser.

I use IE for certain things and firefox for others. No browser is 100%, they all have shortfalls. But its always not enough to run on one browser.
 
Seriously though, the real issue was that my PC was crashing (freezing and bluescreening) several times a day.

Now that I am not using Firefox, this has completely stopped.

Have you ever tried re-installing FF? Or upgrade? Excuse if you feel these questions to be somewhat retarded :p

Sounds like a valid and rational reason...
Everyone has to grow up sometime and move to chrome I guess. I hated it at first when I was a diehard FF fan but FF made my mind up for me by releasing so many broken versions in a row.
 
Check out the pdf addin from adobe - this was the culprit that crashed my browser non stop.
