Was at HIfi Corp today looking for some goodies.

Just for interest, asked one of the salesmen with an iBurst keyholder around his neck how it is going with iBurst and what packages are available. Interesting, they do not sell month-by-month any more - only contracts. Add this to the fact that you can get 12- 24- and 36-month contracts now (see iBurst web site) makes me wonder how much longer m-to-m will be available. If you don't want to be locked into a 'contract', better buy now.

As far as I know Hifi-Corp never offered month to month. Or at least the one at Woodmead didn't when I was looking to get iBurst a year ago.

Said saleman was quite happy to show me his pricelist with both options.

Maby Hi-Fo Corp only sell contracts as thats the only way they can make profit out of it from Iburst?

Or are they regular resseller types? I really dont think (or hope) that Iburst would get rid of m2m (not man on man sex) and why anyway?
Shure it makes sense for them, but they do know it will look very bad for them and loose them bussiness right away?

I think its probably an individual reseller policy decision as to what products of the range they wish to offer (or claim to offer)

I know for example that Tradepage ONLY deals in m2m contracts - me thinks they got burned by people running off with their modems without seeing out their contract...

They must just TRY and make me sign a 12, 24 or 36 month contract:mad:

My 24 month contract is almost up. I'd be damned if I would sign another. Month2Month suits me just fine. I second the notion that it is purely a reseller policy.

The reseller who was at my house also showed me that iBurst offered a 24-month contract, and a month-to-month contract.

Well according to the iburst site, they still have month2month & I aint signing no contract!

i dont think they are getting rid of month 2 month at all.. Its probably just ressellers that get alot more out of it if they get you to sign a contract. Its what Iburst would prefer so they obviously make it worth the resellers while to get them contracts.

Please remain calm:

Resellers are allowed to offer specific options from what iBurst have on offer. Some people like Hifi-Corruption only do contracts as they figure they can indeed make a profit on it so whomever said that is correct. The Month-to-month option is currently offered and will continue to be offered.

iBurstSA (ex wbs) are not scrapping the month 2 month, if you heard otherwise then you were missinformed.
