Earth,
What a mission to cancel with Telkom! Has it always been a months notice with Telkom ?

Mweb likes to shuffle paper....

At last I'm free from the Telkom "Your toooooo far from the exchange" and Mwebs favorite:

Your line readings do reflect a very high attenuation: 57 dB

Please have Telkom drop your line speed to 1mb and do a port recreate and let me know if that makes a difference..........

Going to be tough for a month or so.

Make sure you keep all Telkom papers. There is bound to be a final account which is wrong or your service will not be terminated at the right time or something similar.

I also dropped Telkom almost a month ago.

Mweb is your ISP. They did not need to spend their time trying toresolve a Telkom issue for you but they did and now you complain about it. Rather unfair.

I would have tried another ISP to do a comparison with before cancelling everything TBH. 57db is very high but Telkom will never sync your line higher than they think it can handle because they're stick-in-the-muds when it comes to degraded service because of line noise.

I would have kept on telkom's case though, they easily fob off line noise that causes these issues and you have to phone them repeatedly just to be taken serious

@skimread not a complaint ,just the truth.

As I am not getting the service for free from either of the two company's, its in their best interest to keep me happy.

If not happy I will move on.

@ AcidRazor I have tried a good couple of ISP's Mweb being one of the better ISP's out there.

Telkom is the problem in which no ISP can help.

So where have you moved and why do you feel it is a better option?
