Back on tyres, the Hankook aren't bad on a Polo, had them on my Polo back in 2010, had them on for about 4 years.

Because they keep loosing and try a comeback, Just like you have done many times and will do many times in the future. I will save this post of yours.

I’ve found Continentals to be exceptionally noisy over the years compared to other tyres and have therefore avoided them.

They also seemed to have the absolute worst wear.

Also became quite a fan of Achilles when I had my GTI but they haven’t had tyres for my subsequent cars.

This is a very good site to read other user's comments. It looks like the Hankooks are the better option.

I have been running Falken tyres for many years on various vehicles, and i swear by them.

That's a great website, run by a great reviewer. Do note that tyres can be a rabbit hole. 2 different reviewers can rank tyres differently, tyres can do well in 1 size but worse in another and the 'same' tyres from 2 different factories can have different label scores.

In general, for everyday driving, buy decent tyres and be happy. Don't buy cheap tyres from companies you have never heard of.

I got 45k km on a set of Hankooks. Grip and performance was good. I am now only buying Hankooks

Does z Polo have the power to break the grip of even the cheapest tyre? I buy only Michelin or Pirelli, but my cars are not Polo's. I got terribly poor mileage on Conti's on my German machines, but on a very regular lightweight like a Polo, it'll be more than good enough.
