Hi all

I have many websites where i need 2FA to access it.
I would like to factory reset my samsung J7, does anyone know if i will loose all my 2FA codes, or will all be normal once i reinstall it again?

From my experience, I lost all my codes and had to add from scratch again. There is no way to backup and restore, or migrate to a new phone.
If anyone has a way would be great to know, new phone due again next month.

You can use Authy to store your codes instead of Google Authenticator

I heard something of back up codes u get from ir google acc...just not sure how it works...and if that is generic for all the sites...

You could go into those sites and disable 2fa,
Reset phone,
Setup 2fa again.

Bit of a mission tho but I'd probably do it just to be safe.
Next time make a backup of the code (screenshot) or the key the website presents to you when setting up.

Use Authy you can sync multiple codes between multiple devices including PC.

It wont help the OP now though but next time setup your 2FA all in Authy and not Google Authenticator.
