Google ads now in your Gmail Inbox

Oh no, Google decided to place ads in your inbox now. I received my first one from Discovery this morning. It works just like spam. You can only opt out of all Google targeted ads, well sort of. You cannot opt out of the ads in your inbox only. I find targeted ads quit helpful, for example, looking for a plumber. Unsolicited ads in my inbox however amounts to spam messages. I'm not happy and I have opted out of all ads to prevent this. Thing is, we are powerless against the might of Google wills and wants. Pity, like many I use to be a Google fan.

The harder they push ads the more people will install ad blocking software and opt out of targetted ads so they only hurting themselves.

I see your point but, ain't ads when you're googling enough? Must say I'm quite annoyed by their spam.
