Looking for some assistance with Google Ads targeting. Doesn’t matter what I do, I keep getting bombarded with low quality clicks from random locations in Bangladesh, Pakistan and India.

My campaign is set up only to show up in South Africa, and I did narrow the targeting by selecting only people in South Africa (not people interested in South Africa). I have now gone a step further and excluded all of the above countries, and I am still getting clicks from India and Bangladesh. Literally blowing the entire daily ad spend on these.

We are selling a niche product with a very specific target market. Previous campaigns have never had this happen to them. Haven’t run google ads for about a year now, but has something that drastic changed recently?

I ran into this a while ago and it nearly tanked my campaign.
Did you find the solution. We tried for about a week, but nothing worked, even after a google rep confirmed all ou targeting settings were correct, and they also refused to refund us for the low quality ad spend. We then decided to give up on google ads completely. We are seeing much better band recognition from paid posts on Instagram, but would love to get google ads working again if possible.

Yeah, the fix was working with MB Adv, who rebuilt my geo-targeting and layered in better exclusions. Since then, I only pay for clicks that make sense for my market. Honestly, it saved me a lot of wasted budget and frustration.
