Google Adsense EFT payment to South Africa thread

Really frustrating having to wait for payments from Google, takes a month to pay out and further month to arrive if it manages to survive the post office, and an extra R290 to courier it instead is ridiculous.

What is wrong with EFT? Are we that "behind" with receiving international payments(Ireland is where checks come from)

Tried to mail Google under "feedback" and other options which seem like dead email pools.

Anyone else frustrated by this or have you just learnt to do the monthly or quarter yearly trip to the post office to collect and have to cash with a check deposit fee?

Must be someone we can contact?

Scrape through on server payments, thankfully won credit to host for a while and puts drag on non-existent cash flow :P

Well it definitely does suck. I have to fill out a Damn form for every cheque... I've got two I've been sitting with since sometime last year now. Really hate going to the bank :p
 
I'm still waiting for my first cheque mailed in December to arrive.
 
Damn?

Makes me nervous about reaching my first payout. When should I start gettng excited then?

Thanks will look but generally more fees where Google should just allow it here... unless some cANCer laws

If you switch site to English for approval then back after? It seems once you have 1 site approved you can place ad code on any site that follows their T's and C's. Do they dislike Afrikaans that much? :P

Google will EFT to Payoneer. You can draw cash from certain ATM's or use it as a debit card. Iirc.
 
Surely most of Google's EFT's are through SWIFT?

No reissues with EFT :P

No one hear from Google ever? Or are we just the small minority(like couple hundred people max in Jozi earning via adsense?)

It sucks really, EFT would be much better! But I guess I'm lucky, I've never had any problems with my cheques, they always arrive on time, approximately 2 - 3 weeks.
 
Or maybe they just selected a few countries to test the service? When they see it's doing well maybe then they will include more countries, including our Mzansi.
 
The last time I raised this issue was because of foreign exchange rules mumbo jumbo. Basicaly SARB.

I also have to fill in a foreign exchange form thing before cashing the cheque, even though the damn thing is issued with a local citibank account in ZAR, because the cheque was printed in Ireland, they freak and don't "know" what to do or which protocol to follow.

The same reason why they don't pay India via EFT anymore. Government bullcrap

Yep, had that issue with SB and FNB employees until FNB suggested try the ATM machine outside where I deposited it and it worked! 11 days waiting and fee. Almost 3 months to receive payment lol..
 
It's worth it to courier the cheque (obviously depending on the value). Deposit normally takes about 7 days, but I found out that can be longer depending on what type of account you have etc (more bullcrap from banks). Usually in by 4 days tho :) In total from issue to in the bank and available money, takes about 4 weeks. By then the other cheque is on it's way :)

My adsense cheque was sent around the 25th of January, and I still have not received it. Have you received yours that was sent around that time?

Mine was sent on the 23rd of January. It's the 23rd of February now and I haven't received it :(
