I'm so sorry—love, backstreetboy. God forgive me.

Now, whenever you upgrade to a new phone, your one-time codes will be readily available once you’ve signed in to your Google account. IT employees must be crying tears of joy.

Google Authenticator is adding a long-standing customer request: you can now sync your two-factor authentication codes to your Google account. So when you set up a new phone and log in to your account, Authenticator will be ready to go without requiring its own setup process. This also means that if you lose your phone or it’s stolen, getting back into your accounts from another device will be less of a nerve-racking ordeal.

So they waited until everyone left because they lacked that feature… Genius

I will first need to try this to ensure it is true and working. Due to my own stupidity made use of Google Authenticator and now cannot upgrade my device as there is no way to get the app working on another device. No current method is working and all export attempts to any device is failing.

Typically a Google thing. Start something, let it run a few years then cancel it. It is amazing they still have their search engine up and running.

Nokia 3310 does not support it.

When they making it available because just checked there is no update.

Just checked mine too, also does not have syncing to my Google account available. Probably only available to new users only. Probably another Google BS story too before they announce the closure of their Authenticator service as well.

Every day dude. Every day is a positive day for me and my old f**king Note 9 with Google Authenticator which can still not be transferred. What lovely positive day! At least the f**king sun is shining today. What else does one need?

Well, enjoy it then! Finally something that gets you excited.

No, no, no, it goes right up Google's @ss to get this authenticator sorted out much faster, before it disappears from the market.

But one could export the Gauth codes and import them via QRcode. Obviously had to have had the old phone on hand.

I can confirm this was their official method and this does not work. Google's support has no workaround for this.

Worked for me when i got a new phone a few weeks ago, and they were both Chinese brands.
