Google buys Jetpac travel app

Google has bought the startup behind a Jetpac mobile application that creates insightful travel guides

Google goggles was something similar to Jetpacs spotter app, I'm assuming that they'll also remove that app from the app store as well.

Goggles not good enough so they buy one that works?

Goggles wasn't remotely close. It could look at a picture or building or landmark and tell you what it is. "That is the Eiffel Tower". This seems to be a recommendation app instead. "I think you'd like to go visit the Brightware Commons, it seems to be the type of place you hang out at." Perhaps a mix of Waze and Foursquare, with some intelligence and prediction? Seems a good match for both Waze and Now.
