Google Calendar Alternative

I need a complete replacement for google calendar, something that allows you to enter an actual google account to sync with manually, does not require handset syncing to work.

Reason: Using CM9 and after many many attempts i have been unable to get calendar sync to work, it was apparently fixed in A8 and i have tried A11 and am on A13 now and its still not working, tried 4 versions of GAPPS already and only 1 actually works and its the one with the broken calendar sync apk so i have a calendar, but no syncing, not even with existing dates int he address book.

Made a post about it on XDA and am awaiting response, hopefully i get a fix soon, in the meantime im looking for something as an alternative, tried calendar one but it keeps trying to connect to whatsapp sync instead of an actual email account. Also tried business calendar, looks like shizz but and does not work, its completely dependent on the google caledar sync. After 20 pages on the market i have come up with nothing useful, hoping someone has found something similar already...

Why not go back to CM7 until CM9 is without issues?

What's your general impression of ICS? Positive?

I was on stock before CM9, my last custom rom experience was not very good so i was pretty reluctant, ICS was the only reason.

Ultimately the calendar is not essential, next few birthdays coming up are pretty big ones so hard to forget and my job does not require me to schedule appointments and such so the GC sync in thunderbird is good enough. Af far as i can tell absolutely everything else is working perfectly so the lack of non-essential feature is not enough for me to step back. Its smooth, stable, great UI.

The New GTalk, GMail, Dialer and COntacts are far better than any 3rd party alternatives, its been made much cleaner added in some features, i ask because a calendar would be nice, if one exists but its not like i cant live without it.

Personally i would highly recommend ICS, many of the guys on XDA have all confirmed the calendar is working, some as early as A8, its only a handful that are still having trouble.

I dunno if CM has put it on or if its a part of UCS, but the screen shot and reboot in the power off options is a nice touch.

Will put some up now, just got to photoshop some privacy into them...

Awesome, I didn't realise they were so far along with CM9. I can't wait for CM9 to become stable for the Motorola Defy
