Google Checkout

Gotta be honest, I haven't used either extensively. But google allows me one central handling location i.e google account.

Also checkout is consumer centric, so it's simpler, but also it's not setup to receive funds. Also it uses your credit card directly.

It's basically just secure credit card storage (+ deliver address).

weird - i was looking at Google checkout this as an option to buy apps from Cydia...

Can anyone shed some light on Google Checkout vs PayPal especially within the context of SA? I know that Paypal requires a FNB account or something but that's about it.

You're gonna have to ask google that. But I'm going with checkout with regards to purchases

The thing that makes me prefer Google Check out to Paypal is the Dual authentication using an App on my phone to generate the codes.

Access to paypal = 1 password away
Google Check Out = 1 Password + Number from Google Authenticator

Adds just that extra peace of mind.

How do you get the money into SA bank account? Is it an EFT or is there a wad of forms to fill out. We use payfast and that works well for us.

I can show you with my US ATM card but to get one you need to have stayed in US for a while :)
