Internet giant, Google, is feeling the pinch as they close a business that sells print ads.
According to the director of Google Print Ads, Spencer Spinnell, Google has decided to focus on what benefits people.
“Some advertisers have seen good results,” Spinnell, wrote on the Google blog. “But as we grow, it is important that we focus on products that can benefit the most people and solve the most important problems.”
Spinnell added that the company had not achieved the impact that ‘our partners’ wanted and the business would close 28 February 2009 with ads running until 31 March for customers who had already booked.
Google is also cutting around 100 jobs from it’s recruitment department reported Bloomberg.
In recent months they have also discontinued or merged social networking operations like Jaiku and Dodgeball reported Market Watch.
