Google defends their Street View in Germany

flipping first world nanny state.
they clearly don't have any real problems to complain about.

LAME. Streetview only shows what EVERY car driving down that street can see anywhere, any time.

And they don't update the street view every day...

No one is going to care that you were standing outside your house 2 years ago when the google car drove by. A criminal is not going to monitor google street view pics and wait for the moment a new pic is uploaded of you not standing outside your house so they can come rob you when you're not at home.

Privacy provides security that governments try to create to reassure their people. But it's becoming increasingly difficult for them to sustain that relationship when the rapidly growing social interweb is starting to abandon the link between privacy and security. People are starting to not care much about how privacy affects their security. All we see and hear are the loudest voices in the media voicing their concerns about it. But millions of people everyday can't care less about the whole issue. That's just how it is.
