Amen Brother!! G Mail is great. Have routed all my mail from my server to my Gmail to stop the spam and have setup my outlook to send /receive etc via gmail. Add the Cell phone functionality when tyou are on the move and its really fantastic, good on you Google!!

It depends. If you run a business, a free email account is a no-no.
Some online shops and sites do not allow registration with free accounts.
Finally, Google monitors your email and at the same time even if you
delete it, you don't know how long it will be around on Google's servers.

MWEB has or had excellent spam blocking. I disabled it though
to avoid the occasional legit email being creamed, but
it really worked. Disabled = 150 emails per
day, 95% spam. Enabled = maybe 1-2 spams
per day.

Found quite a useful feature in GMail too. You don't need Office installed to read Office files. You can view them as HTML!
