Google execs keep $1 salaries

SAN FRANCISCO--Top executives of Google have once again agreed to be paid annual salaries of $1 each in 2006, counting instead on stock options and grants of the company's volatile stock for their pay.

So $1 dollar a year goes a long way in Google-land. I think this business model can be copied here for a lot of our "businesses" (Telkom, Post Office, SAA, etc.). It will encourage more competition and better consumer service.
