Only seeing that now that you guys mentioned it. Dont know how it works though. I put in the destination and then nothing happens...and then the widget just stays greyed out on my hom screen? What is it supposed to be doing?
 
You add a destination. Give it something it suggests as it's more likely to recognise the address. Then what it does is show you a different colour based on the traffic conditions from your current location to the set destination. If you hit the widget once it refreshes, and twice sends you to the map showing you the traffic layer.

It also calculates eta.

Nope...it aint working. Does not come up with any suggestions. I have tried putting in the full address and also just the area...nothing...nada. I have checked and my internet connection is working fine so it is not that either. Weird.
 
Well maybe its speed related, on edge i won't get suggestions (fast enough) only on Hsdpa. If you put in a well recognized street (that's not common) it shouldn't matter whether you choose the suggestions or not.

Jeez you lot are inpatient, give the new HAL9000 time to learn 1st.

Talking about HAL, now that would make for a coool GPS voice, just imagine it: "I am sorry Dave, you can go that way Dave, please come back"

Waze has improved a lot and using it everyday when I drive home. Still a few roads missing from the maps, but then you can just build it then gets uploaded :D

Untill HAL decide's to learn I will be using Waze for traffic and Google for normal seeking.

80 meg download limit per area, but you can overlap and do loads of em. I just have 5 sections covering the main cities and that almost cover most of SA anyway.
