Google Picasa 3 and it's irritating Runtime error.

I used this programme at a friends place and it works like a dream but all I get is the Runtime error report and have to reload it every time. I have googled it and it is a common problem and it says something about downloading the updated Quicktime programs and the Windows Media program but i seem to remember there was something about hardware in the pc.

Have any of you used this program and gotten the same errors and how did you repair it?

Please keep it simple have a repair idea as I am not the sharpest tool in shed when it comes to changing codes or something in my pc, in other words, I know squat.

i have loaded some pictures from Picasa into a web album but how do i know that people can see it as i want to send it to someone overseas?
