Got a new Xperia Go apparently not allowed to put any other sim except Mtn for next two weeks or my warranty will be void. Using wifi then all of a sudden Play store is empty search for apps apps are not found. Went on my pc and same story no apps in play.google.com. I'm using telkom 1mb uncapped

I got the same problem on my Nexus 7

I have not been able to connect to the Pay Store since the weekend. Same problem using web browser on my Mac. I'm also with Telkom.
Any idea what's going on?

Go to Settings > All Apps > Google Play Store and click on clear defaults, clear cache and clear data.

That should work.

Looks like a Telkom problem

Try a different Google logon..
Thanks to everyone for their help. Here's the latest: I heard from Google Play Store support and they told me to clear the cache etc. But that did not help.

Then I realised that I could NOT connect to the Play Store using my Mac either. So, the problem was not confined to the Android tablet. This morning I took the tablet to a cafe in my local mall (in Cape Town) and I was able to connect to the Play Store using the cafe's wifi!! This leads me to the conclusion that the problem is on Telkom's side.

Last year my neighbours (we are with Telkom) could not connect to any Google domain for almost the whole week. Why this happens I don't know. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks

This morning I was able to view apps in the Play Store using my tablet and my PC. So, for me at least, the problem has been resolved.
