Google Play issues after upgrade to Android 4.0

Trouble shot anyone - recently upgraded the software on my Galaxy tab 10.1 to Android 4.0 and since then google play app is not working cant update already installed apps or download new apps.

What happens when you manually download and install the latest Google play app?

Have tried the upgrade from 3.5.19 to 3.9.17 manually and still doesnt work...interestingly have swapped sim cards and used a vodacom sim card instead of an mtn one and the app works just fine

Might be the old proxy problem. Go to your APN settings for MTN, and then clear out the proxy server and port.

This solved my problems that I was having with Google Play...

Another vote for 'Hero Status'. Thanks a million. This solved the issue for me as well. Was such a pain to find a solution to this.
