What speed do you reckon we download at? I have a 4mbps line and I am not convinced that the updates come down at that speed.

Hell I even streamed from Hulu while updating and it made no difference at all to the Hulu experience.

Can't you get an indication by watching it? Like mine will say:

Downloading........700k

Downloading........1,4MB

Downloading........2,1MB

Well I have a 1mb line at home and a 4mb line at work, it definitely updates faster at work than at home.
Also unless your streaming at full HD hulu is not taking much out of your line so its unlikely you will notice even a hiccup unless your updating a game or something that has some serious size to it.

Also many newer routers are smart and manage bandwidth to a certain extent, I can always notice a update speed difference if the media pc is downloading, usually have to pause that if I want an update to finish in any reasonable amount of time.
