First of all, i have no idea where to post/ask this, so forgive me if I am in the wrong section.

Ok, so I have heard/read about Google's new privacy policy, but according to me, it does not help reading these policies, coz they dont make sense.

I have tried Google'ing "New Privacy Policy - Good or Bad?", but I am getting mixed results, so I come to you, almighty mybroadband, what is your views?

And what exactly does this mean? I get that google applications will be allowed to share your "info", i dont care, but is there more towards it?

MyBroadband actually had an article about it two days ago.

It all depend on how paranoid you are. Some people freak out about every small change Google makes and distrust everything they do, mostly because they are such a big corporation. I tend to trust Google quite a bit, as they can't afford to lose their user's trust. That would lead to less profits.

These policy changes, from what I can gather, are mostly about covering their own legal asses. They had different privacy policies for different products, and it created some legal difficulties for them. The biggest implication for the user, it seems, is what you already mentioned: Google can now easily share users data between different products. This means better ads for you, and more money for them. This is not an issue in my books.

I must agree with this, until they start selling email addresses for people to send spam on I am happy :P
