Google+ privacy tips issued by Kaspersky Lab

I can't imagine these kinds of attacks would be particularly effective yet. I think most people on Google+ right now are tech-savvy people eager to test out the beta. These kinds of people would probably be more careful about clicking links in e-mails, by default... or would they? Maybe they're arrogant and careless, because they think they know everything about privacy and security? ;)

Just another scaremongering story spouted by an A/V company desperate to peddle its product :p

I have often wondered if anti virus companies do not make a lot of virusses themselves, improving the need for people to buy av software.

Its like saying the fire brigade start fires because you always see them around burning houses... But ja I have still wondered this

First let me say that I personally dislike articles like that from anti-virus providers.

However, I also spend a lot of time removing malware from infected computers.

There are many people new to the internet or naive/careless enough not to take the most basic precautions, so maybe they will pay more attention if the information came from a major anti-virus provider - they sure don't listen to what I say :-(
