OK this just floored me... talk about over-sensitive, PC BS. :(
I personally think the autocomplete is a great function. I don't get offended by some algorithm making suggestions wrt search criteria I have typed .

“Type: ‘I am extremely ...’ into Google. Thanks to the marvel of auto-complete, the search engine will offer a number of conclusions. Guess what Google suggests above all possible conclusions to ‘I am extremely ....’? It is ‘terrified of Chinese people’.

It's easy, they should just extender their moderate safesearch feature to include autocomplete suggestions. Does a good job of filtering out bad images/links elsewhere.

I found a few cases where members of my race were scary :( So it's not just other races in my opinion

With hind-sight, I retract my statement and stand corrected - [-]Balstrome and Wiz4rd[/-] some MyBB members are much more scary :D
 
I think Google just needs to employ some people to clean up their link suggestions... cos yeah... some of them are pretty bad. :eek:

I seriously hope people are not actually searching for all that stufff! :(
 
think that's bad? type "Is it wrong to sleep" and look at the results you get.

yes, google should clean up it's auto complete feature. no, it is not racist, it can not help that there are millions of morons that type in similar and stupid questions and phrases. if it were not for auto complete people may never find the correct spelling to certain websites or the lyrics to songs that they are looking for.

also, being scared of someone BECAUSE of their race IS racist. it's fine and dandy to make jokes about the french and chinese and even look at countries from a political point of view, but being chinese is hardly anything to be afraid about

SO if I need to ask a question about a race that might seem racist but I do not mean it as a racist question, just to inform yourself to avoid doing or saying something awkward. You ask google.
 
Like my co worker wanted to know why white people block his way when he drives in the yellow lane? So this is a mild question and did not make me think he is a racist he just observed that it is 90% whites doing this. Google just made it easier to ask questions about race that could end you up in difficult situations.

first, why is he in the yellow lane?
at least he has the decency to say 90% of whites and that is his experiences. i'm white and the majority of idiots are either taxis stopping in the middle of the road or white people swerving through traffic like a hot sword through butter

Because he wants to get there first. but if he googled it he would not have said why does 90% of white people he would have typed why does white people. I think it is over sensitive idiots trying to make racist out of people that are not.

It seems these days that this type of people are like what I call the "NG Kerk" people. IF they do not understand it, it is racist. ( The NG Kerk just decides it's from the devil.. poor Harry potter :D)
