Google Reader to shut down

Google announced on its official blog that it will be shutting down its RSS application, Google Reader.

I use Google Reader every day! Does anyone have any alternatives to recommend?

Oh no! This is my favorite tool combo'd with super reader which allows me to read the news feeds perfectly within the reader site I wonder what % of G+'s originate from reader as 99% of my G+ feed is based on reader feeds. I think this is a big mistake

But yah.. like SuperFerret.. what are the alternatives out there?

this is really sad news - Reader is the only site I check multiple times a day...I'm sure there must be millions of people using Reader exactly like me out there...it's one of the most useful sites.

Oh no. I use Reader the entire day on my PC, Android phone and Android tablet. Its the best and most efficient.

Please don't shut it down

Ironically, I read about Reader's closure on Reader this morning. I think perhaps it's time to start moving my other things away from Google as well, who knows what they might shutter next.
