Google report shows junior software developer salaries are decreasing

But are these "full stack" junior developers?

Ah scratch that, junior just came to ask me to show him how to setup project and that I should document it. The project has a git landing page with all the documentation...

*cries in junior*

I view myself as a massive expense to my company. I'm basically being paid to watch tutorials at the moment. At least for the first 6 months. It nice but I'm sad I can't touch big boy code that might bring down production.:)
for how long have you been in the field?

oversupply of Devs causing this?
as every Tom, Dick and Harry and their dog is going to do Programming in Uni and trying to get a job.

and this is the net result, more devs who cant even Print "hello world", and yet need a job.
More like bootcamps saturating the web dev market.

My timeline is basically:
2018: Web dev Boot-camp(was not worth it in my opinion but it did get me introduced to coding)
2019: Did about 6 months of IT Dip through UNISA but couldn't study further due to some issues with their registration. Also did a few Udemy courses. Took on a few small freelance projects.
2020: Still couldn't sort out UNISA issues. Took a job at a small IT company but quit after probation period because I wasn't doing software or web development. It was more of a design role.
2021: Got a job at a non profit. Not much got done there but it gave me more time to learn and work on side projects. Received an invitation to do a dev test for a grad program. Nothing serious just connect to a database and display some info:ROFL:. Passed the test and interview.
2022: Grad program. They took about 8 people. Mostly Comp science, Bcom IN and 2 of us without a legit higher education:ROFL:. Salary is decent but for the first 6 months just learning. I'm a bit bored but what to do:ROFL:
