Google rolls out Android Messages for web

Google is rolling out its upgraded Messages platform to desktop web browsers, allowing users to send and receive texts from their PC.

The feature will become available for users this week, and can be enabled by selecting “Messages for web” under the More options menu in the mobile app.

My messages app says it's up to date but I don't have the option for Messages for web :(

Guess I'll have to wait.

PS: I know it says 'this week' :-)

I have it working. It works as expected, though doesn't seem quite as smooth or quick to update as Pushbullet, which I was using before.

Android Messages for Web Now Available to All Users, Says Google

...............
Now, Google has officially confirmed the rollout is complete, and that users need to update the Android Messages app to the latest version in order to avail the feature. With the update, sending and receiving SMS and RCS (Rich Communication Services) messages from a PC will become easier for Android users................
