I have downloaded and installed the Google Voice app from Android Apps. On setup of Google Voice once I have entered my pin and confirmed the pin for voice mail the app checks my number and returns with this message "Your Phone number could not be verified. Please try again". I have plenty of data and airtime available, after this message appears I have noticed that my available credit is reduced by R1.50. It appears that a SMS is being sent to Google for some sort of confirmation and not being relayed correctly. Please if anyone has set up Google Voice on a Galaxy Tab P1000 via the Vodacom network please let me know what you did to get around the problems I have experienced.

Thanks

are you wanting to make outbound and inbound calls through google voice?
is that even possible in this country?
